As a 60+ woman who also has ADHD, this was phenomenal!!!! GREAT JOB! I so need to do this to my whole house. Because of the "out of sight, out of mind" problem, my closets are almost empty, but the house itself looks like a hoarder house. It's horrible. Whenever I see someone overcome this, it just warms my old heart. 💖💖💖

I have bought a shien shirt from a consignment shop and absolutely love it. But if i could sew i probably could have done it myself. I really love this design and your instructions make it sound so easy (if i could sew a straight line) Embroidery on the other hand nope not doing it. Iron ons all the way. Your dress turned out so cute and i want one in my size.

I find adding a hair net under the hair scarf helps to keep the scarf from slipping and the hair from coming out of the scarf.

I'd say the number one advice for writing a first draft is not to let it be bad but to structure it, so that the plot can be good. Even if you prefer discovery writing as I do, at least sketch out what will happen in each act, or make an outline that can change as you write, and it will make all the difference in finishing a draft. That's what worked for me.

One day when the children are grown and things have settled down you're going to look back and you're going to miss the toys on the floor the cookie crumbs on the floor you going to miss all of this sweetheart the best thing I can tell you as an old woman sitting here enjoy the time you have the cobwebs will wait I used to tell people I had dust bunnies that grew into rabbits underneath my couch and eventually they made it out the door enjoy those little ones they're more important

Hooray! This is my kind of sewing video. I sew the same way when making my skirts which I have not done in years, your video makes me want to make myself a dress. And I adore how easy you show it is to cut out the pattern without using a pattern. I cannot sew using a pattern I have to eyeball/ measure my body to sew my clothing and I have not been able to master arm holes. Plus, I handsew I do not machine sew.

This is the one thing frustrates me about other vintage channels these women buy expensive clothing. Thank you for showing one does not need to buy expensive clothing in order to dress vintage. I used to buy reproduction vintage clothing and have stopped due to the cost. I studied the style from the 1940s-1950s and can see the cut and style in a regular clothing store such as Target, Walmart, DDs, Ross, and Good Will. And I only buy what I need and in only 3 colors, blue, red, and pink. This way nothing is sitting in my closet not being worn and everything can go with what I own.

When rolling my hair I like to use perm rods (they give a pin curl type curl) on the sides of my head and pin curls (using long bobby pins) for the back of my head which makes it much easier to sleep. For the front of my hair, I do a side parting and one stand up pin curl. I cover all of this with a hair net that I bought from the Dollar Tree and a satin bonnet also acquired from the Dollar tree. When I bathe, I set my hair along with the hair net and cover my hair with a shower cap.

The first time I saw "The Ten Commandments" on tv I was probably 5-6 yrs old (yes, the 60's! lol) I still remember looking at my Mom sitting on the coach & exclaiming, "MOM! He has the best looking knees I've ever seen!!!!". She busted out laughing, but wholeheartedly agreed. I'm in my 60's now & I still think Yul Brynner one of the sexiest men ever & STILL believe with all my heart that those were the sexiest knees I've ever seen...... 🤣💖🤣💖🤣💖

This is real life. I remember feeling like I was drowning at times but it was all from my own perception of myself. I gave myself grace after one breakdown and never judged myself like that again. My kids are getting quite big now. I look back at some photos in our small apartment, full of my small children and toys everywhere and those are some of the best memories of real life. Maybe we don't buy from the same SHEIN because I bought 4 dresses 3 years ago and they still last, and I wear them daily. 😅

And we should remember that even if a clothe looks nice on the site , it will be ugly in person. Shein very often the same ugly , plastic fabric for everything they can (My mom buys Shein sometimes , the cute dresses are always horrible to the touch) The dress in the video is super cute tho..I think I'll make one too

"I would rather try as hard as I can within my means to do what I can than not do anything at all" THIS! People would rather me do nothing or be perfect and have no in between. If you eat a salad people tell you it's not healthy enough, but if I drink a soda no one says anything.

I had my credit card info stolen shopping at Shien.... Never again. Karmic lesson learned

I just found your RUclips channel today was the first day I watched your videos the first one was the 1940s clean and I actually downloaded the book now I'd like to thank you because you are the only one I've ever seen it has his own somewhat the same size as mine very small. If I remember correctly in my house is somewhat 840 to 900 square feet something to that effect no attic no basement. I was widowed for 9 years moved into his house and it's extremely small leave me all these tips come in handy

I am so here for a series of this. This is wonderful

I am plus size, and am unable to make my own clothes or afford expensive brands like Pennington's on the regular basis (plus they look like old lady clothes 80% of the time). Shein is the only place I can afford to buy clothes that I like, fit me, and I feel comfortable and happy in. If I could change it I would, but for now I will continue shopping there until I can find an alternative. Plus size clothing in Canada is VERY limited, and VERY basic and usually boring and unflattering. It is what it is. Some things from Shein are a weird material, but I personally like the material of most of the tops, dresses or skirts I have bought there, and have no issue with the quality.

Ah, sigh. I'd love to be a writer.. or more so a published writer. But I'm the classic "It's a part of me; if someone doesn't like it... I would take it personally". Someone can publish whatever I have stashed away after I'm dead!

I finished a tiny pair of noren curtains for my bedroom door. I listened to your video while I was hand sewing, and you've solidified my decision to invest in a sewing machine. I have kids, and I am plus-sized, I feel like making our own clothing as much as we can would be great. I've hand sewn a lot since I was a kid, and I think I'm ready to go for it! Also a lot of chaos and caffeine over here, too haha.
